I’m really looking forward working in line with Västerviks Council making the area as suitable as possible for a new level of tourist exploitation. I believe that Västervik has great potential of achieving their goals of becoming one of the major tourist centers in Sweden.
I hope and believe that I will contribute with getting Västervik its rightful position in the Swedish tourist industry, a position of development.
Due to my academic experience I’m well suited for the assignment; I know how to get in touch with the ones showing interest in investing and I know how it is living in the rural Archipelago. Project Manager The Västerviks Experience
Karolina Svensson is from the small village of Vinslöv in the southern part of Sweden. She has always been interested in tourism and travelling and decieded early in life to work within this area. Karolina has a basic Tourism Education from Kristianstad and after she graduated in 2002, she started to work as a Travel Consultant at BIG Travel in Karlshamn. But after three years she wanted to continue in the industry and instead of selling the experiences, she wanted to create them. She moved to Kalmar to study at the University of Kalmar. During her three years in Kalmar, which lead to a Bachelor in Tourism Business Management, she was a part of the opening of IKEA Kalmar and worked there during her studies. She also worked as a travel guide for Scandorama AB, the biggest buscompany in Sweden where she arranged trips to Slovenia, Switzerland and Croatia. During her studies in Kalmar, Karolina was in an exchange program in Macau, China. Five months of her education was situated in this city which is a great place to study tourism because of all the casinos. Gloria Morais, International Coordinator
Gloria, 30 years old, is the new International Coordinator of the Västervik Experience. She has earlier worked as a Team Leader for a group of investigators at The Swedish National Board of Student Aid and therefore has experience with coordinating different people and work tasks to reach a highly set goal.
She has studied, among other subjects, Psychology, Statistics and Marketing at university and is specialized in Risk Taking and Motivation. She speaks five languages and also has some knowledge in Japanese and Chinese which will of course come in handy at The Västervik Experience.
In her spare time she plays volleyball, jogs and watches movies. She also likes to travel, both for business and pleasure, and is at the moment dreaming about visiting her native country, Brazil.

I was born in 1987 in Linköping, a middle-sized city in middle-east edge of Sweden. Since my graduation from upper secondary school I always have the forcing to be successful. I have totally found my passion in to make things works in one way or another. I have studied at the Marketing Programme at the University of Kalmar for one year. I have worked at some supermarkets during the summers and my free time beside the school, both in the upper secondary school and when I study at the university. I appreciate customer contact regardless my work is about being a business manager or a cashier, I always put the customers needs first.
I think this position as business manager of The Västervik Experience is perfect for me as I am a really responsible and enterprising person. I graduated from high school in 2001 with a degree in economics.
After graduation I went to Italy and Bologna to study the Italian language. I found Bologna to be the most beautiful city, second only to Västervik, of course.
I worked at a travel agency for five years, where I learned a lot about tourism. I love working with people and really enjoyed my time there.
Since 2003 I have been working for the Swedish police at the border unit, so I'm used to, and comfortable with, working with foreigners.

The latest addition to Alsjöholms Mekaniska Verkstad AB´s Management Team, as of 2008, was born in 1981 and has a BBA from the University of Linköping (2001) and a MBA from MIT (2003).
He started his career as a Product Engineer at Bosch´s Chinese division where he was in charge of adapting the company’s product range for the new Chinese market.
Prior to joining AMVAB he worked as a Sales Manager at Assa Abloy´s Asia Pacific division where he excelled in creating new opportunities for the company by reaching new markets.
Kalle has a long time commitment to building bridges between the different cultures and therefore holds a position on the board of the Swedish-Chinese Technological Society.

Malin Stenström was welcomed, as the new manager, to Påryd Projektering in the year of 2008.
Ms Stenström has a genuine interest for experience life through travelling around the world and her favourite countries so far are Mozambique and Indonesia. She has experience from being Member of the Board of some Student Associations and during her year of studying she has worked in the Public Elderly Service. At present Ms Stenström is living in England, Berkhamsted. She aim to improve her English and at the same time work and travel in the UK.

Al Jonas career has been in the sales area. He started as a salesman in 1984 in a store that sold exclusive carpets. 1989 he become a store manager at Thorn TV-rental. After 10 years at Thorn he become a sales manager at Yellow Pages. 6 years later, he left for a company that sold “Studentmössor” and cloth that belongs to the examination, there he worked as a Country Manager. In Marsh 2008 he will start a new work as a Area Manager at Saps Communication, a company that works with facility services.

I was born in 1984, in Jönköping, a rather big city close by the second biggest lake in Sweden called Vättern. I graduated from upper secondary school in 2003, after that I did my military service as an amphibian soldier. After that I worked at an IKEA-warehouse for about a year and that’s when I realized that I wanted study to become a production manager. Today I have a bachelor degree in industrial management and logistics. During my university studies I worked one day a week at an employment agency, the firm has circa 3500 staff. My task was to recruit people to our customers. Directly after my education was done I got a job at Atlas Copco as a production manager.
I believe that I can make a deferens at Alsjöholm Mekaniska, my skills in production management will help me to be confident and humbleness to every assignment I get and my experience from recruiting people helps me to understand and motivate the staff. My name is Kerim Bergaoui and I live in Sweden in a town called Gothenburg. I graduated from upper secondary school 2002. After my graduation I started to work at a nearby Supermarket until it was time for my military service, which started January 2003. After my 14 months of military service I started to study Industrial Economics with logistics as my major at the University Of Skövde. During the summer breaks I have worked as a Costumer Logistics Manager at Ericsson in Borås which can roughly be described as taking care of the administrative order documents in a Supply Chain.

Before joining the company Lotta Engberg was operative manager of the Crosstrade Department at DSV Road AB in Gothenbug, a position to which she was appointed in february 2006.
Before that she held the position of Senior Traffic Planner at DSV Road AB.
Her experience within the transport sector includes positions as Sales Co-ordinator at Frans Maas Sverige AB, Senior Traffic Planner at P & O Ferrymasters AB and Assistant Shipping Agent at the same company. Employed at P & O, she worked at their office in Teesport, Middlesborough on several occations.
She has also worked as an internal auditor within the ISO-system since 1994.

I am originally from Skåne but now live in the beautiful city of Kalmar. When I lived at a student dorm in Kristiandstad I had the privilege to meet people from all over the world, thanks to the student exchange program at Högskolan Kristianstad, and that is when I knew that I wanted to work with people from other cultures. I lived an entire year with a large group from the Ningbo University in China, during which I learnt amongst other things to make proper spring rolls! As you might have guessed cooking is one of my hobbies, I am also an avid reader and I love to dance. From April 2008 Kerstin will be responsible for managing the next phase of the Chinese investment in the Kalmar region.
PhD studies at the Department of Quaternary geology in the University of Stockholm between the years 1990 - 1993. The studies involved a lot of fieldwork in the Arctic region and the work resulted in the publications of a few scientific articles. In 1993 Kerstin Johansson started working as a senior geologist in a govermental agency and since 2003 with the responsibility for the sales agreement and business contacts. In 2008 Kerstin gained the position as a Programme manager for production involving a lot of coordination of multi-project planning.

I moved to Västervik two years ago and comparing this town with other places where I have lived I know what this town has to offer. Västervik has a beautiful archipelago just outside town where I go kayaking and fishing during summertime and also forestland perfect for hiking, a perfect location for a company like The Västervik Experience.
I started my career as a Production Manager in Estonia 1997 when a Swedish company moved their production from Sweden to Estonia. 2001 I started studying at The Swedish University of Agricultures. Since I finished my studies in 2004 I have been working as a Production Manager at two different companies with a wide range of customers from the car industry to the defence industry and with business contacts in several countries.
My education and former occupation as a Production Manager has given me the tools and knowledge I need to lead Västervik Experience in to the future.

Born 1983, received a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
A one year placement with the Marketing Division of Virgin Blue assisted my passion and skill in entrepreneurship and innovation. A more challenging three years came with my appointment as Corporate Communications Manager for Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong. This not only allowed me to develop my language skills in both Cantonese and Mandarin, but provided me with valuable experience in leadership and diplomacy in complex cross-cultural environments.
I hope I can bring a unique skill set to the team, and look forward to working with my colleagues and partners in transforming Västervik into a vibrant tourist destination.
Pierre Devos
Born in 1985, Pierre Devos is actually our Belgian Business Manager since 2008. He quickly decided to turn towards business studies which ones were started at Mons-Hainaut University, Belgium. Awareness that companies was developing within a worldwide dimension, he decided to earn a Master in University of Kalmar, Sweden. Moreover, he has a marked character for the voluntary services. Indeed, he spent nine years to help others by organizing a part of a tournament to struggle against cancer and letting his mark for a non-profit-making organization (JEWaC´S). Strong with all these experience, he is today our Business Manager and develops all his talent to face the coming challenges.

My name is Jenny Ahlbeck, I’m 24 years old and the Business Manager at Påvryd Projektering HB. My work tasks mainly include maintaining and handling the day-to-day contract with the company’s Chinese customers. Before I started to work for Ella Svedin at Påvryd I was a student at Baltic Business School in Kalmar, where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Marketing. After the completion of my education I started to work as an Administrative Assistant at Logica Infra Solutions. My former working experience also includes work as a Sales Trainee at World Class in Stockholm where I received good knowledge in how to handle relationships with customers. I believe that my personal strengths when it comes to performing the tasks as a Business Manager at Påvryd are my international experience and good language knowledge. Annika Nyström, born in 1981.
Finishing my 3 years of education has raised my expectations for taking on this task. My degree project, in collaboration with a watch designer, has led to a Bachelor of Industrial Design at Gotland University.
I have previously worked for a patent representative regarding secretary and economy work. The main task was to assist the Chief Engineer of Patent, making his job easier by taking over some of his tasks. I think I will be an asset to this company because of my ability to handle clients, co-workers and high levels of stress. I think this assignment requires being able to handle many thing at one time and remain self-controlled in order to start a cooperation with other companies.

The latest addition to The Västervik Experience, is Malin Bundsen, born in 1983. She has a Bachelor's degree in Art Directing (from the University of Lund, Sweden). Malin has been working her way up to the top of today’s art directors, using her passion for design and mind for ideas. She has a great understanding of the target audience which makes her the new Art director of The Västervik Experience.
She is a passionate, higly motivated and an innovative young woman. She is fluent in both Swedish, English, French and Turkish. Her passion for travelling and meeting new people is a big asset for us as she has contacts troughout the hole world.
